12/19/18 - Project Life Weeks 38 - 42

Before I started mixing it up again I had left off on PL Week 37.
I mentioned I would jump back in time to share previous week's layouts...
so let's keep on going!

Week 38:

When I took a couple of the photos, I purposely left space for me to add journaling spots to add some handwritten journaling.
And though I didn't realize it at the time of it's creation, that "enjoy" circle mimics the Pistachio Oreo really well.
BTW - I want to express just how much I LOVED those Oreos!
I was pleasantly surprised at how well they nailed the Pistachio flavor...
If you do not like Pistachio, avoid these!

Week 39:
This one was tough to scan because of the bulkiness of some of the stickers... the colors are not 100%  true to life.
For example: the "MON" chipboard sticker is a darker cornflower blue, the pig's body is the same color as his face, and the cookie photo is brighter (the pain of bulky scans!)
Moving on...
As the journaling says, this week was short on "everyday-style" photos due to us taking a vacation.
But if we can scrap "1 photo" traditional layouts, why not 1 (or 2) photos on a Pocket Page/PL
Layout, right?

I have already shared week 40: PL Week 40
And as I went to scrap Week 41 - I realized I had only taken 2 photos that week and I that had already scrapped and shared them as a regular layout:
So I just added a tab to the side that says Wk 41 so those paying attention while flipping through my project life album won't think I skipped it:

(remember this layout?)

Finally Week 42:

A mismatch of subjects...but then aren't all PL pages pretty much that way?
Notably: Our first visit to Oak Glen for the 2018 Autumn Season,  David and I saw the original Halloween for the first time, finished book #20 (of my 25 book goal), and won and received a prize from Elle's Studio.

-Speaking of Elle's Studio... there's lots of Elle's Studio (and Studio Calico) goodies on these pages! -

Can't believe I've made it this far!
Only 10-ish weeks to go!

12/12/18 - PL Weeks 45 and 46

I truly do not like sharing my Project Life pages out of order (call it OCD, I guess) but sometimes there is a need, like when it's for a Design Team reveal.
In this case the "need" is...it's Christmas Time so I want to share more "Holiday" related PL spreads.

If you recall, I said I wasn't doing a December Daily album this year but instead incorporating my "December Daily" into my regular PL Spreads.

Today I'm sharing a couple I recently completed so you can see what I mean and (hopefully) get some inspiration.

I guess I'll just have to call the older ones I share "throwbacks"...
I hope to share a few more soon now that I'm mostly caught up.

BTW - Looking at these numbers, Week 45 and Week 46, just reminds me THAT much more that the year is almost over WOW!

(Click on layouts to enlarge and read the journaling better)

Week #45:

Week #46:

Fun Fact - This year is the most I have EVER used my date stamp, LOL
Another (Not-So) Fun Fact - I have not been able to find that Coffee Banana Smoothie again since!

I wish I could tag companies on here the way we can on Instagram; I would love to give credit to the different manufacturers.
Most items used on both layouts = Elle's Studio, Studio Calico, and Kelly Purkey

11/12/18 - "Use Your Stuff" Challenge #337

Good Morning!
Welcome to a new week and new challenge of "Use Your Stuff" .
This week we challenge you to use stars.

I created a layout of our Mini Pig Hamlet sleeping, using a star patterned BG.
This layout was very difficult to take a good photo of because of
the shiny gold stars.
"Dream Big"

Here is a photo of the layout at a different angle so you can see how absolutely gorgeous that BG paper is … Mega Heart Eyes, amirite?!

Hamlet is a black pig, well all black except for 1 white hoof … the front hoof on the right side (not pictured).
Because he is black, it's really difficult to get a good photo of him without great lighting, and in this case, it was night time so the lighting was at it's worse...that's why he looks brown.
I love this photo so much and I knew, even if the lighting wasn't the best I needed to scrap it, and I needed to scrap it by itself and in a large size; this is a 6x8 that I ordered through the PL App.
Pretty sure I'm not fitting ALL of 2018 into one album... but I'll deal w/ that problem when I get to it, LOL

Also, I used 99% of my November Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog Kit to create this.
Yes, I strayed a bit. I couldn't help myself! When I found that BG paper I just HAD to use it, it was too perfect for the photo! So I used it, but EVERYTHING else is from my kit so I'm counting it!
I know for a fact the CKC Blog is a bit flexible w/ their challenge so it will be just fine; the goal is to get your stuff used and photos scrapped, and I did both!
This makes Project #3 w/ my November Kit.

BTW - poor Hamlet always seems to be scrapped in pink... Oops, LOL

Thanks for stopping by and please play along w/ us at "Use Your Stuff"!

10/21/18 - CKC October/ Projects #3 and #4

Hi there!
2 more projects from my Counterfeit Challenge Blog October kit
(projects #3 and #4)

My first page is a 12x12 Traditional Layout

"Void"
Journaling: "Void: a Star Wars themed Virtual Reality experience. David really wanted to try it! I was afraid to try it because I'm not any good at video games but it was a lot of fun!"

This is part of my 4 page spread covering our visit to Vegas this past July; this is page 3 of 4.

My favorite things about this layout:
1) the color scheme...
2) the cluster of embellishments around the bottom photo
3) the inclusion of our bracelets... I'm trying to remember to save and include ephemera in my layouts more often

.
.
.
.

My second project is a 2-page Travelers Notebook layout for my Pet Themed album.

"Hello Happy"
Journaling: "Hamlet enjoying a yummy apple. Nobody tell him what usually happens to pigs who get whole apples. 03.31.17"

I'm also entering this layout into the "Dotty About Dots" Challenge  over at The Studio Challenge blog seeing as both my PPs have dots on them!

All of the paper pieces on the TN Spread are scraps, including the "Hello Happy" which is from a cut-apart paper that I had already cut into.
That sticker border under the photo is a scrap also.
In my "Void" layout you will see a green butterfly and a circle word sticker: "cherish" (and the other half of the border sticker).
Those came from the same sticker sheet that I got the border sticker from...and it is an old sticker sheet that I bought in May 2016.
So glad I included it in my kit this month!

For having such a shaky start to this month, I feel like I'm accomplishing a lot w/ my kit!

10/18/18 - Project Life Week 30

On Monday I shared PL Page #32
Today I am sharing w/ you my Project Life Week #30
It is actually a 2 pager
-One Pocket Page Style (though digital)
-and One Traditional Layout

Project Life Week 30

I created this layout in the Project Life App and embellished it just slightly:
-2 stickers
-2 buttons
-Doodling (though the white circles around my Oreos was done on the app)
Though I love embellishing my digital pages w/ real-life embellishments, I didn't feel like this one needed too much.

Oh, and yes, it's ALL about food, LOL
And as I explained in my journaling (in the "Enjoy Life" section)... I'm only slightly embarrassed about it ::wink::

Also, if you read the journaling about my pancakes, you'll see that I mentioned "my traumatic morning".
What was so traumatic?
Well, the answer to that is in my 2nd page which completes my 2 page spread:

"Hamlet's First Hoof and Tusk Trimming"

I created the journaling block in the Project Life App and printed it out on regular paper.
I misjudged the size a bit … with all my experience, why didn't I realize how big a 4x6 would be, hahaha?!
But it's all good... I like the way the large Gray and White journaling block help balances out the "No, No, No Nope" Studio Calico Project Life card.

And, I just noticed...  without even planning it, the 2 pages actually match each other pretty well!

That's all from me today...
TFSB!

09/13/18 - Another PL Catch-Up Post (Weeks 25 - 29)

Hi...
Project Bomb!

Just sharing some more Project Life Pages

- Week 25

.
.

- I shared week 26 in a previous post:

.
.

- Week 27

-Remember I told you I intermingle PL w/ Regular Layouts?

My  previously shared "July 4th"  and "Chunky Dunk" layouts are also part of this week:

.
.

- I shared week 28 in a previous post:

This week includes a few Vegas Layouts also, 2 of which I have created and previously shared and 2 that I have not yet created:

.
.

Week 29

Sorry if this is too much but I thought you might like to see how it is going to look in my album w/ the mixture of different types of layouts!
If you haven't already figured out the LARGE photos are of layouts I'm sharing for the first time and the SMALL photos are of layouts I have already shared previously.

I am enjoying this PL journey... but I am behind, both in creating and sharing.
Not giving up on either though!
I think a lot of my PL Pages will be digital since it's something I can do on my phone an it allows me to include lots of journaling which is something I struggle w/ on traditional layouts.
I also like the cleaner look of them.
I spruce them up w/ stamping (sometimes) and stickers & doodling (all the time) so I'm still getting in some hands-on creativity and it gives the layouts a more personal feel.

BTW - Pretty sure all the future generations are going to think all I did was eat, LMAO!

08/27/18 - "Chunky Dunk"

Hi there...
Just sharing Layout # 127 of the year.
Remember my goal was 75?
Yeah, I succeeded and surpassed it.
I feel pretty good about that in general, and also cuz this year has been a busy, and at times, tough year... and I'm proud of myself for making a commitment to allow myself to also do something I love while trying to navigate life.
Ladies...make time for yourself!

Any-hooooo...
Here is today's layout.

"Chunky Dunk"
Journaling: "The view from my window...
He's not Skinny Dipping he's Chunky Dunking"

We have had Hamlet for a little over 3 years now and I still am in disbelief sometimes when I see him in our backyard... like "OMG we have a pig!" LOL
Most of the time though I just enjoy seeing him do his thing... it really makes me smile to see him enjoying life.
And this particular moment was no exception.
I live in Southern CA and it has been super hot, like...record HIGH HOT, so a pool is definitely a necessity for a piggy, since they don't sweat.
And here he is taking a much needed Dip, err.. I mean Dunk! Hahahahaha!

Design Details:
The BG paper is a very old piece of American Crafts surfboard patterned paper.
I'm talking old-old! I don't remember when I got it or where I got it, but it's been in my stash and I have never had a need for it.
Though in this case Hamlet is not surfing, but the color is perfect!
At the bottom are Studio Calico Documenter (AKA PL Cards) layered on top of each other.
One used for journaling, the other w/ a wave pattern to help emphasize the water theme of the layout.
Also old? the brown alphas I used to spell "dunk".
Those are Echo Park "Good Life" alphas. I have had those in my stash since... at least...2010.
The alpha sheet has hardly any letters left on it but I keep my old alphas sheets JIC, and as you can see, in this case I was able to use it.
Except for the PP behind the photo, and the Circle under "Chunky" everything else is a sticker.

Because this layout and the topic of the layout make me happy, I will also be submitting this for the current challenge over at The Studio Challenges Blog; their current challenge is "Happy".

08/12/18 - CKC August / Challenge #1

Hey there, hi there!
Happy Snout Sunday!
"Happy Snout Sunday?" you're asking...
Well, when you see what I'm sharing today it will make more sense...

Popping in to share the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog's current challenge to help you use your August Counterfeit Kit.

This is challenge #1 for the month and it is called:

Put it on an angle Use your favorite layout style and turn it a little bit to put it on an angle on your layout.

One of my go-to scrappy items is circles... big and small!
On this layout I used a big circle to anchor my photos of our mini-pig Hamlet enjoying his rooting rug.
And small circles to add pops of color and interest!
(We pig owners frequently use "Snout Sunday" as a hashtag on Instagram. Makes sense now, right?)

"Rooting Rug Fun"

Journaling: "Hamlet enjoying his Batman rooting rug. Thanks to my daughter, his momma, it's all Batman all the time for Hamlet. 09.11.17"

Naturally I went for Black and Yellow as my main colors, cuz... Batman!
But I quickly found I didn't have a whole lot of other Black and Yellow embellishments, DOH!
So I got creative, AKA took a chance, and added red and white (leftovers from my "Espana" Travelers Notebook spread; see previous post) and some blue and green and you know what? I absolutely LOVE the look!
I wasn't kidding when I said the Counterfeit Challenge really makes you think outside the box!
I would have never added those colors if I had my whole arsenal of scrappy supplies to choose from and yet... they really work so well on the layout!
Seriously LOVE this layout!

That Rooting Rug has since gone to pasture but the photos and memories will forever be captured!

BTW that little flag that's sticking out of the "Good Times" embellishment block was actually cut off of one of my embellishments, which means I still have the rest of it to use.
Talk about making your supplies stretch, amirite?!
And that "makes me happy" stamp is from my food stamp set... how lucky did I get, LOL!

Anyway, I really hope you like this layout and are inspired to play along.
In case I'm not inspiring enough, go check out the CKC Blog for more Design Team inspiration!

TIA!

05/23/18 - PL Week 17

12x12
Digital Project Life Pages
done through the Project Life App

Did I mention I was doing Project Life?
If not, know you know! :0)
...
As I navigate this journey of my first year of Project Life I have found some things about it I don't like:

1) it can be time consuming, which means it's easy to fall behind
(And as you know I do not have a lot of free time these days!)

2) I have difficulty with the journaling aspect of it.
Seems like there is a lack of journaling space when telling all the different stories of all the different photos of the week.

That's where the PL App comes in handy:
1) can do it on my phone, any time, any where.
+ I don't have to worry about having my supplies on hand

2) W/ their new feature of "Freeform Text" I can journal directly on my photos!
I know what you're probably thinking... it doesn't allow me to use my own handwriting.
And I agree w/ the importance of using my own handwriting, but... I have used my own handwriting on PLENTY of other layouts, in fact it's my main way of journaling, so I think it's okay if there are a few layouts/projects I don't use it on.

BTW - another testament to it's quickness and convenience... I finished these but still have Week's #15 and #16, which I'm doing in Traditional Format, sitting unfinished on my scrappy table, LOL

It will never completely replace traditional but, I like that it helps me catch up/keep going and I like the look of digital mixed in w/ traditional.

Week 17 -PG 1

 Week 17 -PG 2

I just realized other than 1 Random Pocket Page,
I have not shared any of my PL pages here...
though I have done so on Instagram.

You know what that means...
Expect some TBT  (Throw Back Thursday) posts!

Just a heads up as I get more used the Project Life, I can tell you right now some of my older pages I'm not as happy with...
But it's a learning process!
::shrugs::

01/31/18 - "Seriously Cozy" and Monthly Re-cap

One of my scrappy goals this year is to try really hard to keep up w/ my scrap-worthy photos!
This is why I am branching out into different styles/sizes/types of documenting.
I have plans to write a blog posts explaining all that...eventually.

For today though I am sharing:
- my most recent completed project; #23 for the month/year.
- a re-cap of my month in general.
(Another goal I have this year is wanting to do a re-cap at the end of every month.)

First the layout:

12x12 Layout

"Seriously Cozy"

Journaling:
"Friday Morning: hanging out w/ Hamlet in between running errands...
Afternoon: Repeat, but this time Panini decides to join us. 1.12.2018"

Question: Why do cats look pissed off even when they are doing what they want?!
LMAO!

For those who are new to my blog, just a heads up, I LOVE animals and my animals are pretty much the world to me; they are (just barely) under my kids and husband, LOL, so I spend a lot of time cuddling w/ them.
I actually have 3, the other is a dog,  but it's very difficult to get them all together at the same time!
This particular day I was able to get a photo of 2 of my babies together...and although I think ALL my pet photos are scrap-worthy...this was even more-so!

A lot of the products on my layout came from the "The Scrap Room" January Kit(s):

And my (favorite) Simple Stories "Emoji" Kit.

.
.
.

Now for my monthly re-cap:

Number of projects created = 23

12x12 Layouts = 6
4.5x8.5 Traveler's Notebooks Layouts = 6
Mini-Album (Dec Daily) Pages = 4
Pocket Pages = 6
OLW Pages = 1

4 of the above projects were done for a challenge I decided to join for the first time this year: the Counterfeit Challenge Blog... now that I know what I'm doing, I'm hoping to accomplish more for this challenge next month!

BTW - Some of these I haven't yet shared, but I will.

Also, non-scrap related: I read 3 books.
My goal is 25 for the year; last year I read 23.

Anyway...
I'd say it was a productive month!
Tomorrow is the first day of February and I am looking forward to a new month of scrappiness!
Hope January was a good (and productive) month for you!

01/26/18 - "(Love)This Boy's Eyes"

Good Morning, and Happy Friday!
Even more happy for me because it's my Friday Off!
Whoot!

Today I am sharing my latest Midori Travelers Notebook Page
(4.5 x 8.5)
Have I mentioned how much I love making these type of pages?!

"(Love) This Boy's Eyes"

Journaling: "This photo doesn't do 'them' justice, but they are truly gorgeous! #BrownEyes
16 Jun 2017"
.
.

Poor Hamlet...so much pink on his layout, LOL!
.
.

For the January Musical Inspiration Song Challenge
The song chosen for me was:
"A New Day Has Come" by Celine Dion
I was inspired by the lyrics:
"All in the eyes of a boy"

I had posted the photo of Hamlet, on Instagram, back in June 2017. The caption I had written to accompany it was: "It's been a while since I shared a photo of this handsome fella; love his pretty brown eyes!"

So it's only natural I use this photo for a layout using that line as inspiration!

I realize technically when I wrote the caption there was only one eye of his showing, but still I felt the need to point it/them out and how much I love them...because they truly are gorgeous!!

BTW - do you see the cute little pig stamp I used (Next to the line "This Boys eyes")?

It's from a company called: Stampmojis
I found them on Instagram and I actually commented on one of their posts and they sent me a free set; SCORE!

The set includes 23 other emoji animal stamp, and 1 poop emoji stamp!

I stamped the dog, the cat, and the pig...since my family includes one of each!

If you want to check them out, here's the link to their site:
Stampmojis Website  (BTW - I'm not getting paid for this... I just think they're cute!

And also I used some items from my favorite paper line at the moment:

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

01/16/18 - "Life Is Good" / -Jan '18 CKC-

I have been feeling very creative lately and have been "crafting-up-a-storm"!
It is January 16th and I have already completed 15 pages this year.
I have been creating in many different forms: 12x12, 6x9, 4.5x8... Traditional, Traveler's Notebooks, Pocket Pages, etc...
And most, if not all of my layouts, have been simple and quick, which is why I have been able to scrap so much in such a short time.
I'm trying to do less over-thinking this year!

Only problem I have w/ the situation is if I want to share I feel like I may be causing sharing-overload to my readers/viewers!

So I'm trying to best determine how to share?
Try to group like projects together and post all at once instead of posting as I complete a project (maybe)?
This would also allow me to have to write less blog posts, which can sometimes be a PITA (Pain in the A$$)!

I'm not sure yet just how I plan on sharing.
But I will be!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For today though,  I will be sharing my latest Counterfeit Kit Club post.

This spread was created using ONLY my Jan CKC kit
Well, not ONLY... there is one item that was not in the kit, but I swear it was an accident!
Accident?
Well, maybe that's not the correct word...
See what had happened wuz...

I started working on the layout on Sunday night...
Then finished it on Monday morning, forgetting for a second that I wanted to use JUST my kit.
By the time I remembered the emoji sticker was already stuck to my photo and there was no way it was coming off, LOL!
But EVERYTHING else is from my kit!
Link to Kit: Doreen Jan CKC kit

The layout is a 2-Page Midori Travelers Notebook Spread; each page is approximately 4.5 x 8.5
("Midori" is the name brand of the notebook )

BTW - I chose the title because it represents how I feel and (probably/hopefully) how Hamlet feels.

"Life Is Good"

Journaling:
"When you look out your kitchen window and see a happy pig enjoying a nap in the sunshine...
you know Life is Good.
12.10.17"
.
.
.
.
It is also a scrap lift of the left-hand side of this layout by a friend over at SB.com:
LN - Lovin' Life

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Until next time...

01/02/18 - NYE 2017

Hi and Happy New Year!

I created this layout yesterday.
Not my first layout of 2018, but my first 12x12.
3 regular sized photos = 12x12...
since I am trying to be more deliberate as to what/why I choose to scrap on the larger size.

"NYE 2017"
Journaling:
"Hamlet spent NYE the way he spent most of 2017... cuddled in a blanket, sleeping.
After he went to bed, Spotty took over.
#SameBlanket
> Nothing Changes <
12.31.17"
.
.
.
Yes, the ringing in of 2018 was a wild one for us, LOL!
David and I were both awake when the ball dropped but we actually missed it because we were watching something else and we were going to switch over just in time to watch it but it turned out our living room clock was slow, DOH!
We heard fire works going off outside, and we we're like "what?! It's not even time yet?!" and we switched the channel over and saw that the ball had already dropped!
Oops, such a great start to the New Year, NOT!
Oh well...LOL
.
.
.
This layout was inspired by the following SB.com Jan, 2018 challenges:

>>Scrap Your Pet
*INCLUDES TWIST* of polka dots

>>Musical Inspiration
The song chosen for me was "New Years Day" by U2
I chose the line "Nothing Changes" and included it as part of my journaling.
*INCLUDES TWIST* of using new products

>>Last Photo(s) of 2017
These 3 are the last 3 photos of 2017.
The bottom photo of my dog, Spotty, is the actual last photo of 2017.
.
.
.
I hope your NYE went well and that 2018 is kind to you!
TFSB!

Most items used on this layout are Jillibean Soup w/ splashes of Studio Calico and Simple Stories
.
.
Also for the SB.com January Sticker Challenge:

12 Stickers
-Alphas (7)
-Word/phrases (4)
-file label (behind "cozy")

12/18/17 - "XO - Hogs -N- Kisses"

Okay, show of hands...
How many of you knew by the title of this blog post that Hamlet would be in it.
(You should all have your hands raised)

Here is my latest Midori Traveler's Notebook Spread
It's a 2-pager; each page is approximately 4.5 x 8.5:

"XO - Hogs and Kisses"

Journaling:
"Have you hugged your pig today? No?! Okay, go do it...I'll wait.
Snuggles w/ Grampy; I love these 2 so much! 11.25.17"

The BG (polka-dot) paper and matching stripe paper came from the same paper pack I used for my "Crepes of Wrath" layout: Crepes of Wrath .
If you recall I stated that paper pack is (at least) approximately 16 years old.

This page was inspired by a Color Palette challenge at SB.com.
We were to use this palette as inspiration:

I think I got pretty close... I used a bit more pink then I had planned to, but otherwise... I think I nailed it!
And even if I didn't... at least I was able to get another page done!

#96 for 2017

I also want to share the cover(s) to this book which has morphed into a "Pet Themed" journal:

The left hand side item is a "hard"-shell cover I purchased from Happy Planner on Etsy and the right hand side is the decorative cover I created directly on the front of the notebook.
I think I have just as much fun creating the covers as I do creating the actual pages!
If I can find a more "pet related" cover I will purchase it and switch it out with this one, but for now..."cameras" will work!
BTW - When I say this notebook has morphed into pet themed, this is one of 4 Pet layouts already in the album, one of which I shared on a prior blog post:

I am really enjoying my Traveler's Notebook(s)!

11/30/17 - TBT "Party Animals"

#TBT - taking it back to January 24th, 2017
To Madi's 15th Birthday; when Spotty and Hamlet wanted to get in on the gift opening!

"Party Animals"

Journaling:
"Spotty and Hamlet wanted in on the action!
1.24.17"

The BG was already covered in the party banners so it made it really easy for me to create a fun page full of color that felt so party-like!

11/27/17 - November "Ugly Paper" Challenge

 Good Morning!

Hope you all had  a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Mine was...
😄

Today I'm sharing my "Ugly" Papers and Layout for November 2017

Ugly - November 2017

"In Memoriam"
(the Duck)
Journaling:
"Missing 'Howard', our neighbor's duck. He was a regular visitor to our backyard. He spent more time in our yard than his own. We enjoyed having him around and Hamlet having a 'Farm Animal' friend. But suddenly he stopped coming over and we found out he died. We didn't even know his name...we just called him Howard after the 'Howard the Duck' Movie"

We're not sure exactly when 'Howard' stopped coming around but eventually David and I spoke about it saying that neither of us had seen him in a while.
Though we technically didn't have to take care of him, we thought of him as our own: he drank the water out of our animals' water bowl, he played in our animals' pool, he ate bugs out of our grass and plants, he spent a lot of time sleeping, walking, pooping (yuck), exploring, and just hanging out in our yard and also liked to follow Hamlet around.
IDK if Hamlet ever really thought of 'Howard' as a friend but we did, and we really do miss him!

.
.

For those of you who might not think the papers are ugly... I really don't either, but I am not a huge fan of frilly papers, or flowers and glitter and the person who sent me my papers knows this... and she was trying to "get me".
But I actually like the papers and they wound up working well w/ my photos!

I used the butterfly/flowery/glittery PP as the BG and the Rooster PP as accent pieces: 2 circles and 1 torn photo mat
Fun fact: I've really been into tearing lately!
I also used 1 of the pointing hand embellishments I was sent.

The pig and duck stickers are from a cheap sticker book I bought at Michaels; 258 Stickers for $1.
#DEAL
I have already gotten good use out of them:

11/15/17 - "Daydream"

Layout #85 of my 75 Layout goal!
Yup... I achieved, and surpassed, my goal!

"Daydream"

Journaling:
"Got this guy up at 10, fed him breakfast and now, at 10:30...look at him! #LazyPig 07.01.17"

Midori Travelers Notebook Spread
My first spread in my new Midori Travelers Notebook.
I love the spread and I love my Midori!
It is so much better than the other No-Name Travelers Notebooks I bought... It's also more expensive which proves the saying "You get what you pay for"!
Wish I had bought more of these when they were on sale!
Size = 21cm×11cm  (approximately 8.5 x 4.5 for each single page).

My Travelers Notebook "story":
Yes, I've finally gotten into the Travelers Notebook craze and ... I LOVE IT!
Though it took me a while even after I bought my first set.
I bought my first set of TNs in July 2017 and didn't start using them until October.
Their small size intimidated me... I've only really worked on a 12x12 sized BG for most of my nearly 20 year Scrapbooking "career".
But I have found so much more freedom w/ the smaller size because I don't need to fill up so much space!
Sometimes I would feel guilty using a 12x12 for just 1 photo... weird, I know.
Plus the actual album is a lot smaller than a 12x12 album and THAT will also take up much less space.
I find the smaller size gives me the freedom to feel okay in scrapping photos and items I might not have felt comfortable w/ before...cuz, again- the guilt, and it allows me to scrap them faster.
Less fuss!
Plus it's a great way to use up scraps; the 2 pieces of PP and the white paper the title is on are all from my scrap bin!

Besides this layout I am currently working on a Fall Themed album.
This was inspired by my (scrappy) friend - Linda!
Hi, Linda! Thank you! ((Kisses))
I will post more about that, including photos of some of my layouts in a future blog post.
If your curious though...
I've already posted some on my IG Account: Mrs_David_Vasquez

BUT I haven't given up 12x12 sized layouts... I just have another option now.

This year seems to be the year of trying new things for me:
-Pocket Pages
bought some stuff including a 6 month subscription to a pocket page kit - more to come on that
-Digital Project Life
-Travelers Notebooks...
I am even starting to dabble in mixed media but I have a lot of practice before I can share..
Misting is about all I can handle right now - barely, LOL!
I'm enjoying trying new scrappy techniques; my creative hunger really needed me to branch out!

I even have a standard Composition notebook that I have started adding bits and pieces of my life to, including just regular ole' lists and doodles, with plans to add some informal layouts...
This was inspired by Amy Tangerine whose You Tube videos I have been binge-watching!!
You Tube Channel link: Amy Tangerine
Oh, that's another thing, I used to hate watching videos but watching scrap-process videos is also a new (addiction/thing) for me!

I'm SUPER excited to have different places to put my creative energy!
