08/1/17 - "Baked Goods"

Happy Tuesday!
I was supposed to post this yesterday but I was just not feeling it, the day that is!

Anyway,
I did get to scrap this weekend and I'm sharing one of my layouts w/ you:

"Baked Goods"
Journaling:
Side Tag -
"7.18.17: Banana Walnut Bread (topped w/ banana flavored Greek yogurt) 7.20.17: Lemon Poppy Seed bread."

In Circle -
"Both baked from scratch by my husband.
My husband recently quit his job. He worked for over 20 yrs at a job that was both mentally and physically stressful. He developed carpal tunnel in both arms and, per the doctor, he quit just in time to prevent permanent damage. He now has 2 part-time jobs one of which allows him to work from home. He is much happier and healthier and that makes me happy...I really love having him home more! Plus he can help more around the house and... bake for me, LOL! He did take a big pay cut, but we're doing just fine and have discovered that money isn't everything."

I love this layout in general but also because behind the photos of "baked goods" there is a bigger story; a story of a major change in our lives.

Our lives are ever changing and I love that I am capturing these changes for our family; present and future!

  2. That's awesome! Love the layout and love that you've recorded the family change. I haven't done anything to document Steve's ever-changing job situation. I should.
