I REALLY enjoyed it so I'm playing again this month.
Today I am sharing w/ you the kit I will be using.
But first here is the inspiration kit -
"Weekend In Paris":
and here is the link to the actual Blog Post: CKC February Kit.

.
This is my kit - "So Romantical":
BTW I realize "romantical" isn't an actual word, but it is a throwback to when I was a Kardashian fan and Khloe used the word and I liked it and it became a permanent part of my vocabulary; some things just stick!
Okay so this is how I decided what was to go into my kit:
-turquoise
-pink
-flowers
and
-romantic/love" items
It also has pops of yellow
so that was what I gravitated to when choosing my items.
I included some scraps and un-used items from my January Counterfeit Kit, and general scrap items from my stash because one of the main points of this challenge is to use up your stash.
I also added a few stamps because one of my goals this year is to use my stamps... I made sure the stamps that I chose went w/ the kit's overall theme though; same w/ my choice of washi tapes (gotta have my washi!).
The only thing I would say doesn't exactly go w/ the theme is my pet items. I included pet items, cuz I scrap my pets a lot... though I realized after the fact that I forgot the piggy items DOH!
Even though pet items don't quite go w/ the theme, unless you include the fact that I "love" my pets very much (that works, right?!), I did try to stick as close as I could to the color scheme.
And yes, it is BIG but remember it's not anywhere near as big as having my entire scrappy arsenal to choose from so it will still, definitely, be a challenge!
I'm hoping to create a lot more projects than I did last month; last month I created 4 ... stay tuned to see if I do it!
And don't forget to visit the Counterfeit Blog to see other kit examples!
Hi Doreen, its Heidi (aka Move4life) stopping in via CKC to check out your kit for this month. (Don’t mind the avatar that our 10 yr old has taken over.) Love the inclusion of the pet/animal products so you can scrap your 3 fur sweeties :) Looking forward to seeing what you make this month! And good idea to add a bit more if you felt a bit too limited last month!!!! Cheers, Heidi in Ontario, Canada

I like that you recycled some items from your January kit and I agree that a big kit gives you plenty of options without all the overwhelm of your full stash. Looking forward to seeing what you make!
ReplyDeleteYour kit looks amazing! You've got a good variety to work with and I can't wait to see what you create!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute kit :) Love the name and myself I think the pet pieces fit as I love my pet and love is what Paris is about :) Looking forward to seeing what you create with the kit :)
