Hello!
"Child's Play Challenges" is having a Blog Hop that starts today and ends December 24th.
If you are here for that reason welcome!
If you're not but would like to join in on the fun, then you may want to start at the beginning...
Blog Hop List :

Colleen lifesascrapshoot.blogspot.com/
Stephanie sthom97093.blogspot.com/
Adele dleebug.wordpress.com/
Doreena madijoes.blogspot.com/ (That's me!)
Steffanie steffanies.blogspot.com/
(if you get lost anywhere along the way, just come back here!)
The theme of the hop is "A Few of My Favorite Things".
What comes mind when you think of your
favorite play things? Or maybe your child's favorites? We'd love for you to share!!
As for me, this is what comes to my mind:
Journaling:"Growing up I loved fashion & drawing; my career aspiration
was to be a fashion designer. No surprise Fashion Plates was my favorite toy"
I literally played w/ this toy for hours every day! I could not get enough of it!
Funny thing...today I have absolutely no interest in fashion. You'll usually find me in pajamas or sweats and a T-shirt, with my hair in a bun and no make-up! Boy do things change!
Alrighty then, here are the rules for the blog hop (a re-cap for those of you who already know them):
1. Visit each blog along the hop and leave a
comment so we know you were there
2. Go back to the "Child's Play" blog when you
are done and tell us that you completed the hop
3. Create a LO based on a favorite play thing
(include a photo of it if you can or tell us what it is) and link up to the
"Child's Play" blog using the special "blog hop" linky
4. Very important!...become a follower of
Child's Play Challenges
You have until December 24th to complete the hop
and enter your LO for a chance to win!
A winner will be announced before the new year.
Before you go... I also have a prize for you:
To enter for my prize, not only do you have to leave a comment, something you're already doing because of the blog hop, but you must become a follower of my blog.
When commenting please let me know that you have done this. If you are already a follower, make sure to let me know.
Again, you have until December 24th to enter.
Your next stop on this hop = Deanne
Have fun and good luck!!

That was an awesome toy! Perfect paper choices for the layout too.
ReplyDeleteI did begin to follow you.
what a fun page. I love the bright colors and wish I had that toy! I'm following too!
ReplyDeleteI'm now a follower of your blog Doreen and your layout looks awesome.I dabbled with fashion design as a child too!
ReplyDeleteLoveeeeee this!! I had that toy when I was a kid :)
ReplyDeleteI had completely forgotten about that toy until you posted it. I loved playing with that! My parents kept most of my toys... I wonder if they still have it. My daughter would love playing with it! Thanks for the amazing walk down memory lane :) Love the bright colors and design of the layout. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't a particularly "pink" girl - way too busy climbing rocks and skinning my knees but many of my friends were well into these styles of fashion kits. Love how you have made this a very girly layout :)
ReplyDeleteSo funny how much you changed! I'm like Jane, above... wasn't ever a girly-girl. I was totally oblivious to fashion. Only reason I'm not now is... my sister's a fashion designer! Seriously! Love the retro prints on the LO. Totally perfect for this toy!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Love the mix of colors & pp.....neat layout idea!
ReplyDeleteI so remember those fashion plates. So many good old "fashion" toys. I remember peeling all of my crayon wrappers to put in the tool that rubbed the plates. Great memories!!
ReplyDeleteGreat memory you captured - these were so fun!
ReplyDeleteLove that to too! Great use of triangles and buttons! Fun and beautiful page!
